Purchasing and Delivery Options

I'm interested in delivering Atlas training courses; what are my purchase options?

For 10 or more learner licenses you will raise a purchase order for your requirement and Atlas will send out an invoice.

What are the deployment options?

Deployment can be via:

1. Internet portal - hosted via the Petrolearn learning portal; training can be accessed anywhere in the world, providing there is adequate internet connectivity. The Learning Management System (LMS) incorporates the features for registering, launching, tracking and reporting e-learning content.

2. Company intranet - Atlas courses can be hosted on your company’s intranet; courses can be accessed by any computer that is attached to the network. This is available for large scale deployment only.

3. Stand-alone CD Rom - CD ROMs are used where sufficient internet connectivity is not available to host the courses via the internet portal. Course content and a results manager database is contained on the CD which is installed on a training PC.

4. Local content deployment solution (LCDS) - this method is used where there is limited bandwidth, but still allows the client to benefit from the web-hosted LMS. The content of the course is deployed locally on the training PC, but there is still a link back to the internet portal which allows the learner’s results to be stored in the LMS.

5. ELC - Clients are welcome to run their training at the Atlas e-Learning Centre; a facilitation charge will apply.

Why would I select the hosted service over intranet or CD deployment and vice versa?

Where internet connectivity is sufficient, Atlas will always recommend the internet portal as the preferred deployment method. This allows learners’ progress and results to be recorded centrally and accessed at anytime. It also allows course updates and any required support and maintenance to be carried out remotely by Atlas. CD deployment is only recommended where internet connectivity is not sufficient to run the courses online. Content is deployed locally and results extracts need to be performed on a regular basis and sent back to Atlas for our records. CD deployment is generally used offshore but, where possible, we will suggest Local Content Deployment Solution which still holds course content locally, but feeds results back to the internet portal.

Versions and Technical Compliance

My organisation operates globally; what international support is available?

Support for our products is available 24 hours with a 4-hour response time. The Atlas support team is contactable via telephone or e-mail. As the majority of our products are web based, support services are very easy to deliver remotely.

We run our training via a Learning Management System. Can Atlas integrate its courses with our LMS?

Yes. For large scale implementation our courses can be run from a company’s existing LMS. There will be a cost associated with installing the course on the LMS along with the cost of the course itself.

Evaluation

Are demonstrations of your courses available?

The website contains demo fragments from most of our course products. Refer to a course within the product range section. If you would like to demo a course in more detail, please contact a member of our Business Development team at info@atlasinteractive.com.

Customisation

II understand that I can customise the training materials – what can I do?

Customisations can be made to any of our generic courses. We are also able to build bespoke courses specific to your company’s training needs. We have an Instructional Design team that writes scripts and an in-house team of media developers and 3D Artists who will create courses to your specification. There will be a cost associated with any customisations or new course builds. Please contact the Business Development team for further information.

Administration & Reporting Functions

Can I track learner movements?

The Learning Management System (LMS) records a learner’s progress through a course, the final score, question remediation and learner feedback.

Are certificates available for completed courses?

Once a course is completed, a learner can print off a certificate to show that the course has been passed. It can be signed by a training supervisor or someone that can verify that the individual has completed the training.

How can e-Learning reduce my training time and costs?

E-Learning is a cost effective method of training because it reduces the need for travel; this reduces the time spent travelling and reduces the associated costs. E-learning can also be completed during downtime, at any time of the day or night, reducing the amount of lost hours and expenditure to a company. Courses can be exited at any point - the page is automatically book-marked to ensure that the learner can re-enter the course at the same place where he/she left the course.
